A parent and his child made an unexpected discovery during a walk in Sainte-Julienne, in Lanaudière, that of a skull lying on the grounds of a school.
It was around 5:30 p.m. that the disturbing discovery was made in the schoolyard located on Victoria Street, said the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The establishment being located not far from a cemetery, the authorities concluded that the event was not of a criminal nature. “The skull will be given to the person in charge of the cemetery”, mentioned Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the SQ.
Photos of the skull were shared on social networks through the “Spotted Ste-Julienne” page. The post quickly sparked reactions.
