The PLQ calls for the resignation of ministers Blais and McCann

The proof being made, the ministers Danielle McCann and Marguerite Blais should resign for having lied about the moment when they were informed of the drama which was played out at the CHSLD Herron, considers the liberal leader Dominique Anglade.

“The ministers who are aware, who lied, all those who lied in this story have no business being in a government”, was indignant Mme Anglade, Tuesday morning.

Contrary to that Mmy Blais and McCann previously claimed, it’s not in the pages of the daily The Gazette that they were made aware of the catastrophic situation at the CHSLD Herron, on April 10, 2020, but rather in an email, received 10 days earlier, revealed Radio-Canada.

“URGENT: Situation CHSLD Herron”, could we read in the subject of this email sent to the Minister of Seniors, his press secretary and his deputy minister, according to what the public broadcaster reports.

“I am really deeply disturbed”, reacted Mme Anglade, recalling that Blais and McCann have always defended a contrary version.

“It is really unacceptable. It’s incompetence. It’s irresponsibility,” denounced England.

“Someone lied somewhere. I don’t know if anyone is packing their boxes today, but I invite people to reflect,” commented PQ MP Pascal Bérubé.

The parliamentary leader of Québec solidaire, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, also refrained from targeting Blais and McCann as directly as Mme England.

“There is someone who lied, that’s for sure. The question is: who is it? That, I don’t know. Then the way to have an answer to this question is a real public inquiry into the management of the pandemic in Quebec, ”insisted Mr. Nadeau-Dubois.
