For artists like Gérard Lenorman, successive confinements have been synonymous with a break with their audience.
In promotion for his next album, Gérard Lenorman confided in the difficult period of confinement, during an interview. Being deprived of concerts is an ordeal that eats away at him, revealed the singer.
No more physical concerts, the singers had to resolve to organize performances at home, on social networks, with three pieces of string. A complicated situation that Gérard Lenorman experienced as a real ordeal.
Concerts are my lifeline. And if they deprive me of them, it kills me. There, I am half dead, said the 76-year-old singer in the columns of a major French magazine.
In more than 40 years of career, Gérard Lenorman has been incredibly lucky: he has never stopped performing on stage. I have never stopped except for a year and a half, saddens the interpreter of If I were president, in promotion of his next album The taste of happiness.

It was this project that allowed him to hold on. Fortunately, I finished the album. The confinement was torture, he said, revealing that he suffered from a serious illness. I can’t stand lying, he added, while specifying that he no longer watches television because we are lied to every day.
A new self-produced album
These last few months have been difficult for Gérard Lenorman. The star singer of the 1970s had to cancel all of his concerts because of the pandemic. Worse, no record company wanted to produce his new album.
The singer of The Ballad of Happy People had to produce his album himself, the first single of which was written by Vianney. You can’t imagine what I spent! You can’t imagine what I spent! Much more than what I will earn, he confided to our colleagues from Ton Mag, admitting that producing an album at 76 is still crazy.
Gérard Lenorman: this blow he has to face
After a particularly difficult period of confinement, Gérard Lenorman was determined to release a new album, but no record company wanted to produce it.
While his former producer Jean-Claude Camus keeps shouting that he is old-fashioned and has-been, this does not prevent Gérard Lenorman from pursuing an admirable career and traveling around France to perform his legendary hits in front of an audience that is still just as conquered. .
It must be said that the singer-star of the 70s has faith and that he is still popular, despite what some people think, as evidenced by the tribute paid to him by Carla Bruni a few months ago by resuming his famous Ballade happy people. But, popularity or not, the 75-year-old singer is now at an impasse.
Have a good week Stephane. Sincerely. Kisses.

After a difficult confinement (I am paralyzed! affirmed a few weeks ago on RTL Info), Gérard Lenorman must face another harsh reality, as reported by the newspaper France Dimanche, currently on sale in newsstands: most of his concerts have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic and the measures taken to curb it.
It’s a blow for this music enthusiast who had only dreamed for months of being able to hit the road again. But even worse: he couldn’t find a single record company ready to produce his next album.
Twenty years after his last album “La Raison de l’autre” which had already had trouble finding a producer, he saw this period of rejection very badly. He worked hard to produce these texts, and is frustrated that no major labels are interested.
Will he keep going until maybe he seduces a producer? Will he use a participatory project, or will he record at home to broadcast it on the web? If he hasn’t made his decision yet, we wish him good luck in making his voice heard again.

I have a shitty life because of that: Gérard Lenorman makes a surprising confidence
After 21 years without releasing an original album, Gérard Lenorman returns to the front of the stage with a new album. If he took so long to decide and record, it’s because he is very demanding. A character trait that ruins his life, as he confided!
Gérard Lenorman has decided to come out of his lair. At 76 and after 21 years without releasing a new song, the artist is about to break the silence with a new album. The Taste of Happiness is out. On this occasion, in the columns of Parisian, he confided in his slowness to release new songs.

You know, I have a huge problem, I have no concept of time. I’ve made very few records over the years because I’m a pain in the ass, I have a shitty life because of it, he said, tired of his will to always do things perfectly.
Until I get what I want, time doesn’t matter. Gérard Lenorman can spend ten years on a song or thirty seconds, he continued. By the way, it seems he didn’t realize it took him 21 years to release a new album of original songs.
It must be said that he probably did not see the time passing, because during all these years, he continued to perform on stage. The health crisis caused by the coronavirus has only prevented him from meeting his audience for a year and a half. Concerts are my lifeline. And I’m being deprived of it. I live a martyrdom, it kills me, he declared.
Gérard Lenorman says he suffers from a serious illness.
Like many French people, Gérard Lenorman had a very bad experience of confinement. Not knowing the whole truth was a real ordeal for him. For good reason, he claims to suffer from a serious illness: he cannot stand lying. However, with the Covid-19 crisis, there have been many lies and decision changes. Something to disturb the artist.
