Jordan Harris and Michael Pezzetta will face the Leafs tonight

The Montreal Canadiens held a practice this morning in Toronto on the sidelines of their matchup against the Leafs tonight.

We first got to see Carey Price on the ice. He won’t be in goal tonight (Jake Allen will be), but his first start of the season is approaching.

Nick Suzuki and Ryan Poehling were missing in practice.

In Suzuki’s case, he got some treatment today, but he should still be in tonight’s game.

This is not the first time that CH number 14 has missed training to benefit from treatment. He is therefore clearly bothered by an injury, but the latter is not significant enough to prevent him from playing.

As for Poehling, his place in tonight’s lineup will be a pregame decision, much like Jeff Petry’s.

As for the actual roster, Jordan Harris and Michael Pezzetta will take the places of Kale Clague and Jesse Ylonen respectively in tonight’s lineup.

Jordan Harris will therefore have skipped his turn for only one match.

In the case of Pezzetta, he was injured in the last game against the Leafs, on March 26.

These two changes really show that between now and the end of the season, Martin St-Louis wants to achieve a balanced rotation of its workforce.

Anyway, that’s what I understand by removing two players who both had a very good game against the Devils.

Clague had even had his best game in a CH uniform with a goal and two assists.

Ylonen meanwhile has been playing very good hockey since being recalled from the American League. I still sincerely believe that he will deserve his place in the line-up next season.

In short, the Habs will present a somewhat different formation from that which faced the Devils on Thursday.
