Motorists will have to be patient during the weekend, because of the many closures that make traffic difficult in Quebec.
Already, Saturday morning, the closure of the Henri-IV highway (A-73) was causing huge traffic jams in the Capitale-Nationale.
Highway 73 is, in fact, dotted with closures that will be in effect until Monday morning.
First, there is a complete closure northbound between Autoroute Duplessis (A-540)/Boulevard Laurier (R-175) and Boulevard du Versant-Nord.
Then a second closure takes place in a southerly direction between the Charest (A-440)/Félix-Leclerc (A-40) highway and Hochelaga Boulevard.
Their movements being turned upside down by several closures, motorists are invited to take a detour via the Duplessis highway (A540) northbound and via the Félix-Leclerc highway (A40) eastbound.
“Avoid the sector and, above all, plan your trips by consulting Québec 511,” Transport Québec reminded us in a Tweeter released on Friday.
Traffic is expected to remain difficult until Monday morning, when Highway 73 will reopen to traffic.
