After threatening to melt his Oscars if President Zelensky did not intervene during the awards ceremony, the actor now intends to return to Ukraine.

Sean Penn explains: “The only reason I would have stayed in Ukraine longer last time would have been to grab a gun and fight. But without a bulletproof vest, because as a foreigner you want to give it to one of these civilians who have become soldiers and who doesn’t have one.

“If you’ve been to Ukraine, you’re definitely thinking of fighting. (…) Yesterday I was in Brentwood, today I’m thinking of taking up arms against Russia.” he adds.

The actor clarifies:I’m not an idiot, I’m not sure what I can offer. I don’t spend my time sending messages to the President or his team while they are under siege and their people are being murdered..”

A committed man
