Brendan Gallagher sees Rafael Harvey-Pinard establish himself in the NHL

This morning, the Canadian recalled Rafaël Harvey-Pinard. In the absence of Michael Pezzetta and on the sidelines of the other guys who are not 100% (Paul Byron, Jake Evans), his presence is necessary.

The latter will play tomorrow, confirmed interim head coach Martin St-Louis, who still does not know if Jake Evans and Carey Price will play the game against the Flyers. Paul Byron will not play, however.

RHP will therefore play its fourth game in the NHL tomorrow, but its very first at the Bell Centre.

His goal will undoubtedly be to try to transpose his confidence acquired in the AHL to Laval, where he has become a very reliable player for his coach for a few months already.

Inevitably, Harvey-Pinard is talked about. The young man is the kind of player Martin St-Louis can love not because he is a player who was drafted awaybut because he works hard.

And if anyone notices his work, it’s Brendan Gallagher.

The Canadian’s #11, who has a style like RHP, believes a lot in the potential of the youngster. At what point?

To the point where he does not believe that his nickname “Lavalagher” will last over time. Why? Because Gally believes that the Quebecer has the tools to establish himself in the NHL.

And clearly, he is right. Harvey-Pinard is the kind of player who can make his mark.

Moreover, Gally is protected by his contract, but everyone knows that he will have to produce so as not to have his job stolen by the Rafaël Harvey-Pinard of this world. Gallagher knows that and he’s frustrated with not producing offensively. His six goals and 19 points in 51 games are not enough.

He also wants to score for Carey Price. Whether it’s him or another guy, he would really like to provide offensive support for the goalkeeper, who has lost his two games since his return because the attack has been non-existent.

Gally knows it “would be nice to score a goddamn goal” to give the keeper a chance.

Price’s return was a defining match for Gallywho is happy for his keeper.

Rescheduling Brendan Gallagher has only given short-term results for Martin St-Louis, who will have to find a way to sustain the positive results over time to (re)make him an impact player.
